In reality, a vision board is an active tool backed by neuroscience effective for setting and achieving goals.

My clients have experienced the practical and powerful benefits of vision boarding.

Entrepreneurs, high achievers, and athletes have long used visualization techniques to manifest their goals.

When is the best time to create a vision board?

  • At the start of the New Year or year-end. It’s a perfect tool for reflection and intention-setting
  • When considering a career change, starting a business, exploring a new industry, reentering the workforce, or planning your next adventure. It can help guide your decision-making.
  • When you want to revisit your priorities to ensure they match your goals. It’s helpful to do a refresh quarter.
  • When you're feeling stuck.

How to create your vision board in three easy steps:

Step 1: Self-reflection: Consider what you want to achieve and gather images from magazines or online that represent what you wish to manifest.

Step 2: Divide your vision board categories, such as:

  • Personal growth - what gives me energy?
  • Professional success - what does success look like?
  • Relationships - who do I want to hang out with?
  • Spirituality - what impact do I want to have in the world?
  • Finances - what does wealth mean to me?
  • Health and fitness - how do I want to feel?

Step 3: Paste the images to a poster board or create a digital version using Canva.*Free Canva vision board template here.

What are ways to use your vision board to manifest outcomes?

  • Practice consistency: Spend a few moments each day reviewing your board and imagining yourself achieving the goals it represents.
  • Be flexible: It’s a work in progress. Add to it, update it, or create themed boards for different areas of your life.
  • Take action plan: Create daily, weekly, and monthly tasks that support achieving your vision board images.
  • Celebrate wins: Every small success gets you closer to the bigger goal.
  • Get unstuck: Return to your vision board when you’re stuck.

Place your board where you’ll see it daily—by your bed, on your desk, or even as your phone or computer screensaver. The more you interact with it, the stronger the impact.
